Alison Goldfrapp was a convent girl. "I thought I was
in a film" she says.
Orbital recruited her to sing on their Snivilization album after they
spotted her yodelling while milking a cow at a party (true!).
She subsequently sang on Tricky's Maxinquaye album in 1995 and also
on an unreleased Bryan Ferry album
She formed Goldfrapp after meeting Will Gregory - a film score composer
Gregory is the son of a Covent Garden chorus girl
Felt Mountain was recorded in a remote Wiltshire bungalow...
...but Black Cherry was recorded in a basement studio in Bath!
